In the hospitality industry, quality of service alone is not enough to guarantee profitability. Controlling costs, understanding financial results, and anticipating changes in business are all essential skills for effective financial management.
This training course will help you acquire the fundamentals of financial management as applied to the hospitality industry, using real-world data and scenarios.
Target Audience
Hotel directors and managers, accommodations managers, department heads, and professionals responsible for monitoring budgets, analyzing financial results, or participating in management decisions.
Teaching Methods and Materials
Analysis of financial data and scenarios based on hotel operations. Concepts are introduced using numerical examples and then explored in greater depth through calculation and analysis exercises. Tracking tables, calculation worksheets, and sample dashboards serve as the basis for the exercises.
Assessment of Learning Outcomes
Initial assessment, followed by exercises in calculation, interpretation of indicators, and budget analysis. Final case study: examine the financial results of an establishment, identify significant variances, and propose coherent improvement actions.
